CE Requirements for
Alabama Board of Dental Examiners
Up to 4 hours, every 2 years; counted toward the total; live (in-person) training only
Half of all CE hours must be related to the practice of dental hygiene. Maximum 4 hours annually for insurance, government regulations, tort liability, or risk management. Maximum 3 hours annually for practice management. Pro bono charitable work performed in Alabama under direct supervision of an Alabama-licensed dentist may earn up to 4 hours annually (1 CE hour per 2 service hours). Instruction credit: 2 hours per hour taught. Licensees must retain CE records for 2 years. CE Broker is the board-approved tracking platform.
CE courses from providers approved by these accreditors count toward your Alabama Dental Hygienist renewal requirements.
