CE Requirements for
Arizona Board of Nursing Care Institution Administrators and Assisted Living Facility Managers
Pro-rated requirement for the initial certification biennium: 1 credit hour for each month or part-month remaining in the period. Self-study, online, and correspondence courses are capped at 40% of the required hours. Hours that exceed the biennial minimum may not be carried over to the next biennium. Evidence of attendance must be retained for three years and made available to the Board on request. Board-approved CE must be NAB- or ACHCA-approved or taught by a qualified instructor and address at least one of nine subject areas including management principles, resident care, quality assurance, recordkeeping, and ethics. Extension of time is available under A.R.S. 36-446.07(G) by written request with proof of registered upcoming CE.
CE courses from providers approved by these accreditors count toward your Arizona Assisted Living Facility Manager renewal requirements.
