CE Requirements for
Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy
The two-year compliance period begins September 1 following issuance of an initial or renewal license and ends August 31 of even-numbered years (A.A.C. R4-24-401). At least 6 of the 10 contact hours must be Category A activities; no more than 3 of the Category A hours may be nonclinical. Categories B and C are optional and capped at 4 contact hours combined, of which no more than 2 may be nonclinical; subsection caps also apply. Contact hours may not be carried over between compliance periods. The Board may waive the requirement for extreme hardship on written request. Licensees are subject to random audit, must retain documentation for two compliance periods, and have six months to cure a deficiency found on audit.
CE courses from providers approved by these accreditors count toward your Arizona Physical Therapist Assistant renewal requirements.
