CE Requirements for
Arizona Board of Podiatry Examiners
Required of licensees who hold a valid DEA registration to prescribe Schedule II controlled substances. Counted toward the 25 hours, not in addition to them.
The continuing education year runs July 1 through June 30; the report is incorporated into the annual license renewal application (A.R.S. 32-829). A licensee licensed for less than 12 months before renewal completes two continuing education credits for each month of licensure. Self-study and teaching activities are accepted for a combined maximum of ten credits (A.A.C. R4-25-502(D)); the remainder must be other Board-approved continuing education. An opioid-related course approved by the Arizona Podiatry, Pharmacy, Osteopathic, Medical, or Nursing board is accepted toward the prescriber requirement. The Board may waive the requirement for disability, military service, or absence from the continental United States on written request by August 31. A licensee who has not met the requirement may be allowed an additional 60 days; a late penalty applies after July 30 and the license is cancelled if not renewed by August 31.
CE courses from providers approved by these accreditors count toward your Arizona Podiatrist renewal requirements.
