CE Requirements for
Arkansas State Medical Board
License renews bi-annually from date of issue, expiring midnight on the last day of the birth month. Renewal reminder emails are sent 60, 45, and 30 days prior; failure to renew triggers a $50 late fee and automatic expiration. Documentation must be retained for four years after the close of the two-year period to which the records pertain. Current ABGC or ABMG certification is required for initial licensure; recertification activity through these bodies can support the CE requirement. The rule does not enumerate mandatory subject topics — all 50 hours are elective subject to board approval.
