CE Requirements for
Arkansas Psychology Board
Per § 9.1.A the rule does not pre-approve programs, whether APA-approved or otherwise; the licensee chooses activities and the Board reviews on audit. Category caps within the twenty-hour annual total: in-service training capped at ten hours (no cap at accredited training programs); formal academic coursework, developing/teaching a new course, peer-reviewed publication, and APA-approved home study are each capped at ten hours; first-time poster/workshop/in-service presentation and Board-meeting attendance are each capped at five hours. Live online training by a qualified professional from a state or nationally recognized organization is not subject to the home-study cap; the 'not exclusively online or home study' rule applies to the aggregate. Random audits each year; failure to produce documentation within 30 days incurs a $50 late fee on first occurrence. Good-cause extensions are limited to licensee or family illness, natural disaster, military service, or foreign residence of twelve months or more during the renewal period. Reactivation from voluntary inactive status requires twenty CE hours from the previous license year. Deployed uniformed service members and spouses receive a full or partial CE exemption for 180 days following return from deployment.
CE courses from providers approved by these accreditors count toward your Arkansas Licensed Psychologist renewal requirements.
