Board Notes

Rule 29 / Section VII applies identically to Radiologist Assistants (RA) and Radiology Practitioner Assistants (RPA): 6 CME hours per year acceptable to ARRT and/or AMA. The Board may grant extensions for illness, military service, medical or religious missionary activity, foreign-country residence, or other extenuating circumstances upon written application. Records must be retained for at least three years from the end of the reporting period. The Board may randomly require the RPA to demonstrate completion of CME prior to renewal of the permit; failure to meet the requirement may result in suspension or revocation.
