CE Requirements for
California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians
Continuing education does not apply to the first license renewal following initial licensure; it does apply if the license has been delinquent for more than one complete renewal cycle (more than 24 months). Each course must be completed within the two years before renewal and provided by a Board-approved continuing education provider. California licenses this profession as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) rather than Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
CE courses from providers approved by these accreditors count toward your California Licensed Vocational Nurse renewal requirements.
