Six hours of coursework in suicide risk assessment and intervention is a one-time requirement for licensees who renew or reactivate after January 1, 2021, unless already submitted with the licensure application. Three hours of telehealth training, including law and ethics related to telehealth, is a one-time requirement for licensees who renew or reactivate after July 1, 2023, unless already submitted with the licensure application. A new licensee's first renewal also requires a one-time HIV/AIDS course, which counts toward the renewal hours. All required courses count toward the 36 hours when taken during the renewal period; they are not in addition to the 36 hours.
