CE Requirements for
Connecticut Department of Public Health
Required during the first renewal period in which continuing education is required, then not less than once every six years thereafter.
At least five contact hours must be earned through in-person or synchronous (live, real-time) instruction; up to ten contact hours may be asynchronous online, distance learning, or home study. First-time renewal applicants are exempt from CE. Certificate of completion required; retain at least three years following the renewal date. The Department may grant a waiver or extension for medical disability, illness, or non-practicing licensees. Reinstatement of a lapsed license requires seven contact hours completed within the year immediately preceding application.
CE courses from providers approved by these accreditors count toward your Connecticut Licensed Clinical Social Worker renewal requirements.
