All contact hours must come from a board-approved provider or method. First-renewal CE varies by issuance date — licensees may owe no CE on the first cycle depending on when their license was issued. Active-practice attestation is also required (see board page for the minimum nursing-practice hours). Existing RN license expiration falls in one of three groups based on initial issuance.
