CE Requirements for
Florida Board of Optometry
Required for DEA-registered licensees. May be completed online or in-person.
One-time requirement for first renewal only.
At least 6 hours must be transcript quality (pharmacology, ocular/systemic diagnosis and treatment). All hours must be live instruction except the controlled substances prescribing course.
Certified Optometrists hold therapeutic pharmaceutical agent (TPA) authority. Partial credit not allowed — courses must be completed in full.
CE courses from providers approved by these accreditors count toward your Florida Certified Optometrist renewal requirements.
