Florida Board of Dentistry
Required every third biennium. In addition to the 30 required hours — not counted toward them.

At least 2 hours must be safe and effective prescribing of controlled substances (required every renewal).
CPR certification (live course) is required at renewal — does not count toward CE hours. Newly licensed dentists renewing for the first time are only required to complete the controlled substances prescribing and HIV/AIDS requirements — Medical Errors and general CE are waived. Health Access Dentist holds the same CE requirements. Alternative CE credit sources include pro bono dental services, expert witness participation, adjunct faculty teaching, board meeting attendance, and anesthesia inspection consulting — each with per-biennium caps.
CE courses from providers approved by these accreditors count toward your Florida Dentist renewal requirements.
