CE Requirements for
Florida Board of Nursing
Required every other renewal cycle. Counted toward the 18 general hours — not in addition to them.
Required every third biennium. In addition to the 24 required hours — not counted toward them.
One-time requirement prior to first renewal only.
Nurses initially licensed by examination during the current biennium are exempt from general CE hours but must still complete all mandatory topic courses.
CE courses from providers approved by these accreditors count toward your Florida Licensed Practical Nurse renewal requirements.
