Georgia State Board of Long-Term Care Facility Administrators
Mandatory subject areas under Rule 393-13-.01 include resident-centered care and abuse prevention, gerontology, human resources, finance, leadership and management, ancillary services, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, emergency preparedness, infection control, and dementia care. First-renewal exemption: licensees obtaining an initial license in an even-numbered year require twenty hours for the first renewal; those licensed in an odd-numbered year require zero hours. Passing the national exam during the cycle is equivalent to twenty hours. Licensees holding multiple Board licenses complete the highest requirement, capped at forty hours total. Random audits; documentation retained three years.
