CE Requirements for
Georgia Board of Nursing
First-renewal exemption: a nurse renewing for the first time whose initial license period is six months or shorter is not required to meet the CE requirement until the second renewal. Alternative continuing-competency pathways include national specialty certification, completion of an accredited academic nursing program, or employer verification of competency with at least five hundred practice hours. Licensees retain documentation at least four years. Late renewal grace period extends through the last day of February. Per Chapter 410-13.
CE courses from providers approved by these accreditors count toward your Georgia Registered Nurse renewal requirements.
