CE Requirements for
Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs
First-time licensees are exempt from the continuing education requirement for their first license renewal (HRS 451J-10). A credit hour is defined as fifty minutes of instruction. Licensees must maintain their own CE records. Upon DCCA audit, the licensee must present proof of CE compliance; failure to do so or filing a false statement is grounds for disciplinary action.
CE courses from providers approved by these accreditors count toward your Hawaii Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist renewal requirements.
