CE Requirements for
Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Clinical Psychology Licensing and Disciplinary Board
Required once every 6 years (every 3 renewal cycles).
Prescribing Psychologists (RxP) only
First-renewal exemption: continuing education is not required for the first renewal of a Clinical Psychologist license. The Pharmacology requirement applies to Prescribing Psychologists (RxP) only and is in addition to the standard requirement, not within it. Remote courses must include an examination. Online and remote courses are acceptable when delivered through an IDFPR-approved CE sponsor; out-of-state in-person courses from unapproved sponsors require IDFPR approval via the Out-of-State CE program application.
CE courses from providers approved by these accreditors count toward your Illinois Licensed Psychologist renewal requirements.
