CE Requirements for
Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board
Category I (formal programming) hours must total at least twenty across the renewal cycle. Up to twenty Category II (self-directed) hours may count.
Indiana licenses this profession as Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) under IC 25-23.6-8.5; the page slug retains the Licensed Professional Counselor naming for URL stability. Licensees in their first twelve months are exempt from CE; those licensed less than twenty-four months owe twenty CEUs. Credits do not carry over between renewal cycles. Licensees must retain CE records for four years for audit.
