At least 20 hours must be clinical; remaining 10 hours may be business/practice management, volunteer clinical work, or dental association meetings. At least 10 hours must be in a live interactive format (in-person or live teleconference such as Zoom). CPR certification must be maintained but does not count toward the 30 hours. Recent graduates who obtain their license during the renewal year (even numbered) are not required to complete CE before that renewal; those who graduate during the non-renewal year must complete 15 hours before renewal. Licensees should retain certificates of completion for audit purposes. Certificates must include specific information such as provider verification, licensee name, course title, date, hours, and method of delivery.
