Kentucky uses the NREMT National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) model. Current NREMT certification in good standing is accepted as an alternative to meeting the CE hour requirements. Online CE must be CAPCE accredited if not through a KBEMS-approved entity. All EMS levels must complete HIV/AIDS (one-time), PAHT (biennial), and Sexual Violence Awareness (biennial) courses.
