201 KAR 23:075 sets the same thirty-hour-per-three-year requirement for both Certified Social Worker (CSW) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Social Worker (LSW) completes fifteen hours per cycle. The board accepts CE in person or through technology-mediated learning without a numeric cap. LCSW Supervisors complete a six-hour initial supervisor course before being designated as a supervisor, plus the three-hour refresher each renewal cycle to maintain the designation. Licensees retain CE documentation for board audit; the board may select records at random for review.
CE courses from providers approved by these accreditors count toward your Kentucky Licensed Clinical Social Worker renewal requirements.
