CE Requirements for
Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology
Required each three-year renewal period per 201 KAR 26:175 §1(3).
Topics affecting health, functioning, and quality of life; required each three-year renewal period per 201 KAR 26:175 §1(4).
Required within the first year of licensure and at least one time every six years thereafter; counts toward the thirty-nine-hour total.
Required of licensed psychologists who provide supervision and certain other credential holders; covers supervision theory or techniques; required each three-year renewal period; counts toward the thirty-nine-hour total.
201 KAR 26:175 also governs Licensed Psychological Practitioners (LPP) and Licensed Psychological Associates (LPA), each with their own hour totals. As amended, the regulation removes prior caps on home-study, internet-based, and interactive videoconferencing CE — these formats are unlimited. Board-approved organizational sponsors are listed by the board; licensees may also seek board approval for specific programs not from a pre-approved organization. Audit retention applies — licensees keep CE documentation for at least five years.
CE courses from providers approved by these accreditors count toward your Kentucky Licensed Psychologist renewal requirements.
