Of the thirty-four general CEUs, at least fourteen must be Category I (formally organized live programs) to reach the twenty-Category-I minimum once the Anti-Oppressive Practice and Ethics requirements are counted; remainder may be Category II (self-study, ASWB providers' approved web-based programs).
Structural Racism Training and Implicit Bias Training hours are not specified by statute, both being one-time attestation requirements that may be satisfied through Board-recognized courses. Renewal cycle runs from November first through October thirty-first per COMAR 10.42.06.03. CEUs earned in one renewal period do not carry over. The Anti-Oppressive Practice three-CEU requirement covers content on cultural humility, social justice, racial equity, implicit bias, or anti-racism practices.
CE courses from providers approved by these accreditors count toward your Maryland Licensed Clinical Social Worker renewal requirements.
