CE Requirements for
Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologists
Required upon first renewal after April 1, 2026 per Maryland HB 783; one-time attestation requirement, separate from the COMAR 10.36.02 CE pool and not counted toward them.
Required for licensed psychologists who supervise psychology associates.
Of the thirty-four general CE hours, up to twenty may be earned through independent self-study with required examination and certificate of completion; remainder must come from formally organized programs of authorized sponsors per COMAR 10.36.02.06.
Implicit Bias and Structural Racism Training: hours are not specified by statute, attestation only. Independent self-study activity must include passing an examination on the activity and a certificate of completion per COMAR 10.36.02.05. CE earned only once per identical activity. Renewal deadline is based on whether the license number ends in an odd or even digit (group-based). New licensees with fewer than twelve months before their first renewal are exempt; those with twelve or more months must complete twenty hours.
CE courses from providers approved by these accreditors count toward your Maryland Licensed Psychologist renewal requirements.
