CE Requirements for
Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Mental Health and Human Services Professions
Required once during licensure per 262 CMR 7.03(2); credit counts toward the total for the cycle in which the training is taken.
Licensure cycle runs January 1 of every even-numbered year to December 31 of the following odd-numbered year. First-cycle CEUs prorate by issue date per the Board's CE Information page: January 1 to June 30 of an even year = 22.5; July 1 to December 31 of an even year = 15; January 1 to June 30 of an odd year = 7.5; July 1 to December 31 of an odd year = 0. The Board does not pre-approve individual courses; all CE must be approved by a Board-recognized entity. For LMFT, the New England Association for Family and Systemic Therapy (NEAFAST) is the sole entity named in the Board's CE policy. Licensees must acknowledge their obligations to report suspected child abuse or neglect under M.G.L. c. 119 § 51A when renewing per M.G.L. c. 112 § 1A. Retain CE certificates for two consecutive renewal cycles.
CE courses from providers approved by these accreditors count toward your Massachusetts Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist renewal requirements.
