Of the 40 biennial CE hours, 30 must be clinical dental care including a BLS-HCP course (hands-on); 2 hours must be infection control with CDC content. DEA-registered practitioners must also complete 3 hours in opioid prescribing CE. A maximum of 50% (20 hours) may be online and a maximum of 20% (8 hours) by correspondence.
